[Before use]

・To read the QR code, it will be easier to set up if you have a computer or another smartphone in addition to the iOS device you are using.

・An internet connection is required for setup.

・Please set this up before traveling abroad.

[Please make sure to unlock the SIM]

*Low-cost SIMs (MVNOs) are generally unlocked, so there is no problem.
Also, there is no problem with devices sold after October 1, 2021 as they have been SIM unlocked.

Setting up your eSIM profile (preparation before traveling)


1. To check if your device is eSIM compatible over the phone, press "*#06#" to make the call.

2. If the EID number is displayed, the device is eligible. If the EID number is not displayed, please check the operation guarantee device page.

Guaranteed operation devices


1. Select "Settings" app → "Mobile Data"



1. Select "Add eSIM"



1. Select "Use QR code"



1. Scan the QR code

*We recommend using the default camera instead of a QR code app.


*If your camera is broken, you don't have another device, or you can't print it out in time

1. Select "Enter details manually"


2. Enter the "SM-DP+ address" and "Activation code"

*Attached to the email from eSIM-san.

Step 6. Confirm activation

1. Select "Continue"

*This may take several minutes depending on your internet speed.


Step 7.

1. Select "Main Line" and "Continue"

*"Travel" may also be written as "Work" or "Secondary Line."


Step 8.

If the new eSIM appears turned on and separate from your main line, you're ready to go.


After you arrive, please make the following settings:

If you cannot connect even after setting up before and after your trip



First, try restarting your device. If you are still unable to connect, your Wi-Fi network may be temporarily unstable. Try again after a while, or if you have two or more routers, try connecting to a more stable Wi-Fi network.

If the eSIM profile has not been downloaded, please download it again . If the eSIM profile has already been downloaded, do not delete it.

If the SIM lock on your device has not been removed, you can remove the SIM lock by going to the website or store of the mobile phone company where you purchased the device.
